Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a high-performing, diverse team of software engineers
Oversee the full software development lifecycle, championing Agile and DevOps practices
Ensure effective coordination and communication across product areas
Provide hands-on technical leadership in Python and Java
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, End-Users, and Partners
Manage requirements, design, coding, testing (unit and functional), deployment and post-release support
Encourage team members to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and support their professional growth
Design and optimize advanced support, security, and QA processes to ensure functionality, compliance, and operational reliability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years in Asset and Wealth Management
12+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on work with Python and Java, full-stack development, and quantitative application design patterns
3+ years of proven background building cloud-based products
Proven experience leading medium-sized teams in Agile settings, driving cross-functional initiatives, and fostering collaboration
Strategic thinking, resource management, and the ability to synthesize complex data to develop strategic insights
Designs and optimizes advanced support, security, and QA processes to ensure functionality, compliance, and operational reliability
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly, foster open dialogue, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
Preferred
Advanced degrees or professional certifications in relevant fields
Experience in the financial industry (3+ years preferred)
GCP preferred but AWS or Azure is acceptable
