Regional Manager - Retail Banking
Robert Half is seeking a Regional Manager for Retail Banking who will be responsible for driving overall performance, business growth, and operational excellence across a designated group of retail branches. This role includes leadership of branch teams, ensuring financial results, service delivery, and compliance, while fostering a high-performing sales culture through coaching and development.
Responsibilities
Achieve or exceed assigned business development and financial goals for the region
Strengthen Market Manager performance through effective coaching, development, and leadership practices
Support overall sales efforts and growth initiatives within the market
Contribute to strategic planning and execution to expand regional business opportunities
Lead special projects and assist in evaluating customer feedback on new initiatives
Ensure consistent and exceptional customer service across all branches
Partner with internal departments to develop and implement growth strategies
Ensure timely completion of required compliance, new-hire, and ongoing training for regional staff
Ensure all branch operations adhere to established organizational policies and procedures
Maintain acceptable audit performance across all locations
Uphold adherence to organizational codes of conduct and ethics policies
Meet or exceed individual business development goals
Expand client relationships by identifying opportunities to deepen product and service usage
Develop new deposit and lending relationships through proactive outreach, referrals, and retention activities
Represent the organization in the community by participating in local boards, events, and business activities
Support team involvement in community initiatives consistent with CRA-related objectives and standards
Build visibility and strengthen business opportunities through participation in civic and professional organizations
Ensure regional teams maintain high standards of operational accuracy and compliance
Oversee timely completion of regulatory, compliance, and training requirements
Ensure all team members follow established operational policies and risk-management procedures
Promote a culture of ethical conduct, accountability, and excellence
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required
7+ years of experience in a retail sales or service environment
3–5 years of management or supervisory experience
Experience overseeing multiple branch locations is required
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities in a professional manner
Strong analytical and math skills
Understanding of safety, security, and risk‑management practices
Strong relationship‑building and consultative sales abilities
Proven customer service and advocacy skills
Excellent organizational and time‑management capabilities
Strong PC proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systems, including Microsoft Office
Ability to assess performance and provide coaching for both direct and indirect reports
Demonstrated ability to develop, mentor, and lead teams to success
Preferred
Background in financial services or retail banking
