Responsibilities
Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) for Treasury and Capital Markets functions, identifying key risks, associated controls, and remediation needs
Facilitate RCSA workshops with business stakeholders and document results in alignment with enterprise operational risk methodology
Develop and maintain end-to-end process maps and narratives for financial and capital markets activities, including funding, liquidity management, and derivatives operations
Draft clear and accurate risk and control statements aligned with corporate risk taxonomies and the operational risk management framework
Maintain Process, Risk, and Control Relationship (PRCR) matrices
Analyze process or control issues identified through incidents, audits, or assessments to determine root causes
Provide recommendations and guidance for effective remediation plans and monitor progress through closure
Partner with Finance, Treasury & Capital Markets, Corporate Risk and Compliance Division (CRCD), Internal Audit, and Compliance to ensure consistency and accuracy of operational risk information
Support alignment between local control assessments and enterprise-wide operational risk frameworks
Qualification
Required
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in operational risk management, internal controls, or internal audit within financial services
Hands-on experience conducting RCSAs, developing process maps, and drafting detailed risk and control statements
Demonstrated ability to identify control gaps and provide structured remediation recommendations
Direct exposure to Treasury and Capital Markets functions, ideally within a secondary mortgage market, fixed-income, or securitization environment
Strong understanding of risk and control concepts across transaction processing, funding, hedging, and securities operations
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., FHFA, SEC, SOX) and operational risk standards
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Preferred
Experience with GRC tools (e.g., Archer, MetricStream)
