Responsibilities
Work at the Axiom facilities and provide detailed weekly reports to JETS section management and NASA/ES2 customer
Create Finite Element Analysis models using FEMAP or Simcenter and use NASTRAN for model solution
Post process results and generate structural margins of safety based on NASA standards and hardware requirements
Perform hand calculations to generate structural margins of safety when applicable
Perform damage tolerance analysis using crack growth propagation software NASGRO
Generate detailed Structural Analysis Reports
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Knowledgeable using FEMAP or Simcenter and NASTRAN
Have a good foundation for Mechanics of Materials to be able to perform hand calculations for structural margins of safety
Knowledgeable of the crack growth propagation software NASGRO
Proficiency with Microsoft office tools
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
