Responsibilities
Own and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
Build accurate schedules with multiple variables, including external processing
Apply takt time, lead time, and cycle time expertise to improve flow and delivery
Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales to resolve constraints
Build trust and influence through strong communication—not just tools
Recommend and help implement improved planning tools and processes
Track key KPIs (schedule adherence, on-time delivery, capacity, inventory)
Lead, mentor, and develop a small planning team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
5+ years in manufacturing production planning/scheduling
Must show career growth and ability to gain credibility quickly
Less experience acceptable if from a high-growth, high-action environment
Experience in mechanical or moving line assembly environments
Strong expertise in takt time, lead time, and cycle time
Experience with medium to high scheduling complexity
Ready to lead and mentor a small team
Strong relationship-building and solution-oriented mindset
Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/MRP systems
High energy, ownership mindset, and drive to elevate planning
