Vice President Finance
Valley Children's Healthcare is seeking a Vice President of Finance responsible for planning, managing, and implementing all consolidated hospital financial reporting and internal financial controls. This role enhances financial reporting processes and serves as the primary liaison to external partners such as accountants and auditors.
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, managing, and implementing all consolidated hospital financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and internal financial controls
Establishes and oversees policies and procedures that strengthen financial stewardship, enhance the hospital’s financial position, and ensure compliance with independent auditors and the Board of Trustees
Directs financial accounting and reporting practices in accordance with Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) requirements, U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and applicable regulatory, state, and federal standards
Working collaboratively across the organization, enhances financial reporting and review processes, improves financial literacy, and supports the development of strategic financial initiatives
Serves as the primary liaison to external partners, including accountants and auditors, rating agencies, financial advisors, and insurance brokers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required)
Minimum of five (5) years of combined healthcare and/or public accounting experience (required)
Strong organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Preferred
Master's Degree in Business Administration (preferred)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred)
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience (preferred)
Preference given to candidates who have demonstrated mastery of job responsibilities through successful performance in similar roles across multiple organizations
