Responsibilities
Support senior electrical engineers in developing detailed designs for building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and control systems
Assist in preparing electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software
Participate in field investigations to document existing conditions at project sites
Perform basic load calculations and equipment sizing for electrical systems
Help coordinate electrical designs with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, structural, civil)
Support construction administration activities including submittal reviews and site visits
Contribute to project documentation and maintain accurate design records
Assist in ensuring designs comply with applicable codes and standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or ability to pass within a year
Ambition to obtain a Professional Engineering (PE) license
0-2 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of fundamental electrical engineering principles
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
Knowledge of building systems and construction processes
Understanding of energy code compliance for buildings
Exposure to lighting design principles
