Program Manager, Health Professions Simulation

The Program Manager for Health Professions Simulation will oversee the strategic planning, development, and evaluation of the health professions simulation program, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance learning experiences and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Develop strategic key relationships to grow health professions simulation education. Promote the visibility, reputation, and interests of Froedtert ThedaCare, via events, publications, presentations, and other network activities. Ensure strategic goals for health professions simulation education are articulated and met
Oversee the development and implementation of all health professions simulation program initiatives and implement strategies to expand and enhance those programs and services. Design, develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum, courses, scenarios, and other initiatives related to health professions simulation. Focus on engaging Team Members to optimize use of simulation as an important component of staff, trainee, and student learning experiences, such as in-situ consultations and simulation learning events
Facilitate the design, collection and reporting of health professions simulation utilization, engagement, and user experience data to inform simulation programming and faculty/staff development needs. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in educational programs focusing on quality and safety through research and outcomes analysis. Contribute to the development and management of a shared repository of faculty and learner resources that are easily accessible by faculty and learners
Contribute to the development and implementation of a strategic plan for health professions simulation. Promote teamwork, communication, respect, diversity, excellence and collaboration to create a safe, non-judgmental learning environment
Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of health professions simulation education programs to meet simulation-related development needs of Team Members, as well as to outside organizations as needed. Provide simulation education consulting and mentoring services to Team Members and leaders, as well as to outside organizations as needed
Liaise with departments and councils to provide simulation expertise and facilitate application of partner-specific objectives into Froedtert ThedaCare health professions simulation programs and learner experiences
Provide counsel regarding technical, business, and operational simulation education related impacts of simulation. Develop appropriate inventory controls and documentation for simulation supplies including disposable medical supplies, task trainers, and manikins. Ensure up-to-date technology and equipment
Develop and implement policies and procedures for health professions simulation and incorporate Froedtert ThedaCare Guiding Principles into performance expectations
Facilitate research activities related to health professions simulation and provide mentorship. Participate in professional development activities, including professional associations, attending conferences, workshops and webinars, and reviewing relevant literature

Required

Master's degree is required, education concentration preferred
Minimum of eight years of related experience, with a minimum of two years of experience in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and customizing health professions simulation-based education
Minimum of five years of professional experience in health professions education, with specific experience in clinical education
The ability to obtain certification within two years is required
Proficiency with simulation technology and software, electronic health records (EHRs), learning management systems (LMS), and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lead complex projects, build collaborative relationships, and inspire others toward a shared vision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences
Strong ability to analyze simulation data, evaluate outcomes, and use evidence to drive program improvement
Exceptional organizational and project management skills to manage multiple priorities and ensure a smooth, efficient operation

Preferred

Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification is preferred
