LEAD EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST
Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a Lead Equipment Specialist to work in the 424th Supply Chain Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The role involves serving as a senior subject matter expert, leading a team, and developing innovative policies and processes for equipment management.

Ability to plan, organize, lead functions, mentor and motivate the staff of an organization
Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing
Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency of component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance
Extensive knowledge of organization concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations
Ability to work with, lead, and managed various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution
Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required
Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan organize and direct the functions and staff of an organization

Incumbent may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall
Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties
Incumbent may be required to travel via commercial or military transport in the performance of duties
Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
U.S. citizenship required
