They are seeking a Legal Intern to assist with compliance and privacy projects, working closely with various teams to improve processes and ensure legal compliance.

Responsibilities
Handle incoming privacy requests
Escalate requests when appropriate by looping in subject matter experts
Provide responses to consumers
Responsible for managing the process and developing process improvements
Develop tracking, monitoring, and reporting/filtering for requests
Assist and coordinate with Privacy Counsel on other privacy initiatives, including data mapping and implementing privacy controls, audits, and monitoring
Monitor, and research state and federal law as they may relate to remote online notarizations and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers
Partner with internal business partners to meet legal requests
Review and revise current company policies to ensure legal compliance
Qualification
Preferred
Currently enrolled in law school or have an active law license
Strong academic record
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Precise attention to detail
Motivation to learn and grow
Prior internship experience a plus
Exposure to SaaS/tech industry a plus
