Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python and Airflow
Build and manage Data Marts and Data Warehouses
Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries
Design database objects in MySQL, SQL Server, and Vertica
Apply data modeling concepts and clearly explain data flow from source to destination
Integrate data using REST and SOAP APIs
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance
Create dashboards and analytical reports , including reports for C-level executives
Troubleshoot data issues and deliver solutions under tight deadlines
Qualification
Required
Strong expertise in SQL (expert-level query writing required)
Strong proficiency in Python
Hands-on experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration
Strong Data Modeling skills
Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
Experience creating data pipelines using Python
Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Experience with Hadoop platform / Big Data ecosystem
Total experience: ~5 years, with 1–2 years in Big Data
Preferred
Spark experience is ideal
Other Big Data experience such as Scala, Kafka, etc. is acceptable
Vertica Datamart experience
SSIS, Informatica
Tableau or other BI tools
SQL Server
Understanding of distributed computing (HDFS, Spark, Presto)
Proficiency in Scala, Splunk
Experience working with systems at scale
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Big Data tools: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, HDFS
Experience with data science libraries: Pandas, NumPy, R
Experience with messaging queues: Kafka or RabbitMQ
Exposure to React JS, Node JS, REST APIs, or web development (preferred but not mandatory)
