Mechanical Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

To assist in the Mechanical design and analysis of OPT’s products
Prepare and document design specifications, data collection and analysis
Carry out theoretical mechanical/structural analyses
Prepare technical reports to document the methodology and results of work performed
Assist with departmental documentation and administrative projects
Perform other tasks as required

Required

Junior or Senior status in a 4-year university pursuing an Engineering degree
Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with SolidWorks (or similar CAD design software)
Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred

Experience with ANSYS (or similar FE analysis software) a plus
