Senior Advisory Consultant

Responsibilities
Serve as a senior advisor, thought partner, and facilitator to clients, providing strategic guidance and steady leadership across engagements while building trusted, long-term client relationships
Lead or support consulting engagements from project launch through delivery, including scoping, coordination, and execution of workplans
Design and facilitate meetings, workshops, retreats, and trainings, creating structured, inclusive environments that support learning, thoughtful dialogue, and effective decision-making
Develop clear, well-crafted client deliverables, including presentations, summaries, and implementation-oriented materials that reflect high standards of quality
Analyze complex organizational, political, and interpersonal dynamics, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative information to inform recommendations
Contribute to internal organizational improvement efforts, including strengthening internal processes, mentoring team members, and sharing knowledge to support continuous learning and growth
Qualification
Required
At least 10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years leading teams, projects, or complex initiatives, with experience working in complex organizations and navigating formal governance and decision-making environments
Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to design and lead inclusive, productive conversations that help groups navigate complexity, align perspectives, and move toward action
Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to synthesize input, translate complex ideas, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated commitment to public service, equity, and improving outcomes for communities through collaborative and values-driven work
Preferred
Experience working with graphic facilitation is a plus
Works effectively across teams and roles, contributing to collective outcomes rather than operating independently
Demonstrated experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research, including synthesizing findings into clear insights that inform decision-making
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Human-Centered Design), with the ability to apply structured approaches to improve workflows, services, or outcomes
Experience supporting or developing strategic and organizational business plans, including translating analysis and stakeholder input into actionable strategies
Experience working with and/or in public-sector, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations, with an understanding of governance, accountability, and public impact
