Liaison/Material Review Board Engineer

Responsibilities

Performs classical static strength hand analysis, Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) analysis, and finite element modeling and analysis for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from metal and composite materials
Develop and document detailed structural analyses in support of aircraft repairs including but not limited to free body diagrams, internal or external loading, shear and moment diagrams, and calculation of internal stresses
Analyses will be in support of Material Review Board (MRB) and Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP)
May mentor less experienced personnel, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions

Required

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 0 years' experience to include a background in aerospace structural analysis
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 2 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in composite airframe structures or a master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 0 years of experience
Hands on experience in a composites manufacturing facility
Experience with military specs and standards
Experience with repair processes for composite materials used in aerospace structures
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and special program access (PAR) prior to the commencement of employment

Preferred

Bachelors of Science or Masters of Science in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
Current NGAS MRB buyoff authority. "EN"
Experience interfacing with a military customer
Current, in-scope Secret clearance (or higher)
