Laboratory Coordinator
Russell Tobin's client is a company looking for a Laboratory Support Coordinator in Seattle, WA. The role involves supporting a project focused on asset inventory in a laboratory setting, ensuring accurate equipment tracking and compliance within a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
Ensure customer focused equipment support while maintaining a high level of compliance
Act as a point of contact for client customer base within site laboratories and external contractors arriving at site to repair/maintain scientific equipment
Support all service administration tasks in collaboration with client metrology team
Partner with the client metrology team to support management with the calibration and send away of devices, document controls and verifications
Manage and improve the service logging process and asset database
Track the performance of the scientific equipment and systems using Key Performance Indicators to instigate improvements and influence changes
Maintain CMMS systems to keep accurate records of all equipment related faults to support data related initiatives
Attend client meetings to review on-going performance areas for continual improvement
Work with the planning or engineering teams to escalate calls for remediation, ensuring that the requestor is informed and updated at all stages of the process
Help ensure that all relevant QHSE processes about contractor management are met, and the site remains audit ready
Ensure all compliant documentation like engineering service reports are stored and filed according to GxP and GDP practices
Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion
Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail
Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of related experience
Hands-on lab experience (required)
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
Ability to work in a regulated environment and maintain HSE and quality compliance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Clear and effective communication skills
Ability to follow defined procedures and work routines
Basic math skills, including percentages and simple calculations
Preferred
(HNC/HND in engineering or science discipline preferred)
