Responsibilities

Administer DB2 databases and subsystems on z/OS
Monitor storage utilization and support capacity planning
Perform routine database maintenance
Support data migration, conversion, and refresh activities
Troubleshoot and resolve DB2 issues and ABENDs
Secure z/OS and DB2 resources in accordance with security policies
Support DMV IT teams and application groups
Log daily activities and time in Jira
Provide daily/weekly status reports
Follow Nevada DMV IT guidelines, standards, and protocols
Document changes, procedures, and checklists

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 7+ years DB2 DBA experience on z/OS
Experience managing complex DB2 environments with multiple subsystems
Strong knowledge of DB2 utilities and backup/recovery
DB2 subsystem and SQL performance tuning
Experience implementing and migrating database changes
Experience securing DB2 database objects
Knowledge of DB2 Attachment Facilities
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
