Responsibilities
Directs the construction and maintenance activities of field personnel to ensure maximum productivity, promote and enforce safety & achieve expected levels of performance
Directs the scheduling & assignment of daily work to the Senior line workers and other crew members to ensure timely completion of the work assignments
Directs the proper & safe utilization of tools and mechanized equipment to ensure employee & public safety while achieving maximum productivity
Interface with contractors, other utilities, customers, government bodies and all Duquesne Light Company departments to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency
Provide timely field data to ensure accurate accounting of plant records. Directs timely ordering of materials and supplies to ensure maximum use of all resources
Conducts training, development and counseling of personnel in the T&D Department to ensure the continuing development of individual skills for maximum job performance and to prepare the individuals for greater responsibilities
Requires all personnel to follow all Company and Department procedures & regulations including all safety requirements. (required)
The T&D Supervisor is required to be the 'Duty Supervisor' on a rotating basis
Qualification
Required
5+ years of overhead construction, maintenance, or operating experience required
Must be able to work in all types of weather extremes
Must be able to make clear, concise decisions under stressful conditions
Must possess a valid driver's license
Requires all personnel to follow all Company and Department procedures & regulations including all safety requirements
Preferred
University or college degree preferred
In lieu of a degree, a commensurate combination of education and experience will be considered
