Aerospace Structural Analysis Engineer

Cyient, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Structural Analysis Engineer to perform advanced structural analyses of aircraft components and assemblies. Responsibilities

Perform detailed static, fatigue, damage tolerance, and dynamic analyses of metallic and composite aerospace structures using advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools, primarily ANSYS
Develop, refine, and correlate high-fidelity FEA models, including complex geometry meshing, boundary condition definition, and material characterization
Interpret and validate analytical results, identify critical structural locations, and recommend design optimizations to improve durability, weight efficiency, and manufacturability
Prepare comprehensive technical reports and documentation outlining analysis methodologies, results, and conclusions in accordance with applicable aerospace standards
Collaborate cross-functionally with design engineering, materials, manufacturing, and stress teams to support data-driven design decisions
Participate in formal design and program reviews, providing structural analysis expertise throughout all phases of the product lifecycle
Support continuous improvement initiatives through the development and implementation of new analytical methods, tools, and automation scripts
Diagnose and resolve complex structural challenges while meeting program schedules, quality requirements, and safety standards

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience performing structural analysis for aerospace systems or components
Proficiency with FEA software such as ANSYS (preferred), NASTRAN, Patran, or ABAQUS
Strong understanding of structural mechanics, including elasticity, plasticity, fatigue, fracture mechanics, and damage tolerance
Experience performing classical hand calculations and traditional stress analysis to support and validate numerical results
Familiarity with aerospace materials, including composites, aluminum alloys, and titanium alloys, and their structural behavior
Excellent technical communication, documentation, and presentation skills
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary engineering environment
U.S. Citizenship required (subject to ITAR regulations)
