Responsibilities
Culture mammalian cells in shake flasks and benchtop bioreactors
Support rAAV cell culture studies in stirred-tank bioreactors, including AMBR15 and/or AMBR250 systems
Execute molecular biology experiments such as SDS-PAGE, western blotting, plasmid cloning, and related techniques
Execute experimental designs and collect, format, and review data to support technical platform development objectives
Compile data analysis summaries and present results to project teams as required
Contribute to the authoring of laboratory procedures, data analysis summaries, and process documentation
Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks in compliance with ALCOA+ data integrity principles
Ensure all laboratory work conforms to applicable quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and routine operation of laboratory equipment
Assist with lab organization, consumables stocking, and general laboratory housekeeping
Perform additional duties as assigned based on project and laboratory needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
0–4 years of relevant scientific or technical experience in the life sciences industry (or equivalent academic experience)
Ability to work with laboratory instrumentation and technologies supporting cell culture process monitoring
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and documentation practices
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred
Experience with aseptic suspension cell culture methods and sterile media preparation
Hands-on experience with small-scale bioreactors, benchtop systems, or pilot-scale bioreactors
Experience with molecular biology techniques (SDS-PAGE, western blotting, plasmid cloning, gene expression assays)
Experience with viral vector production (AAV, adenovirus, lentivirus)
Familiarity with ELNs, PI, Spotfire, or other laboratory data and analysis software
