Responsibilities
Coordinate a wide range of customer service, billing, and administrative support functions for the Fleet Services Department
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and vendors, delivering information in a professional, customer-friendly manner while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established procedures
Support fleet billing processes, maintain and update internal databases, and assist with administrative functions related to equipment maintenance and repair
Help plan and coordinate maintenance and repair activities to ensure efficient operations and adherence to service timelines
Qualification
Required
High school or successful completion of GED
Three (3) years of full-time equivalent experience working in a customer service environment
One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience working with databases and/or a computerized work or asset management system
Must possess a valid driver's license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver's record based on the City of Hampton's criteria
This position is safety sensitive and is subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances in accordance with the City's current substance abuse policy
Must successfully pass a background check prior to any offer of employment or promotion
Requires the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and assist teams with the computerized systems needed to run a fleet facility
Ability to perform advanced computer work to include Microsoft Office, asset management database, and email
