Assistant Director of Utilities - Operations and Maintenance
Chesterfield County is seeking an Assistant Director of Utilities to manage and direct the Operations and Maintenance Division of the Utilities Department. Responsibilities
Manage and direct the Operations and Maintenance Division of the Utilities Department which includes water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment, wastewater collections, industrial waste pretreatment and technical support
Provide direct supervision to six center managers
Advise the director of issues related to utility operations and maintenance
Participate on department's Management Team
Perform other work as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field
Seven years of professional experience in water or wastewater operations and maintenance or civil/environmental engineering
Minimum of three years of management experience (seven preferred)
Current valid driver's license and good driving record required
Must maintain personal mobile technology as a condition of employment
Pre-employment drug testing required
FBI criminal background check required
Education/degree verification required
Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview
Preferred
Registration as a professional engineer in the State of Virginia
