Manager, Payroll

Responsibilities

Operations Management: Oversee and manage daily payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees (hourly, salary, bonuses, commissions, etc.)
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws, and validate all payroll tax returns and other required reports are filed accurately and timely (e.g., W-2s, 1099s)
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train payroll and incentive teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development
Auditing and Reconciliation: Conduct regular internal audits of payroll records and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reconcile payroll accounts with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies promptly
Issue Resolution & Customer Service: Serve as one of the primary points of contact for complex payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees, management, and external agencies, ensuring timely and professional resolution
Process Improvement: Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Human Resources and Finance departments to ensure seamless information flow and alignment on policies, benefits, and reporting
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Payroll

Required
