Manager, Licensure and Regulatory Affairs

The Manager, Licensure & Regulatory Affairs supports the legal department by managing hospital licensure and regulatory compliance, ensuring that all necessary documentation and filings are maintained accurately.

Responsibilities

Prepares and maintains all hospital licensure with state, Medicare, Medicaid, Boards of Pharmacy and CLIA, DEA, and other regulatory filings as required
Maintains the records for the Company, its subsidiaries, and operating units in multi-state organization
Calendars due dates for annual reports, licensures, financial statements, and permits. Assists in their preparation and files such documents when due
Assists with the gathering, organizing, and reviewing due diligence for various buy- and sell-side business transactions
Creates and updates a database of documentation for various business transactions
Provides legal documents requested by internal and external stakeholders, as well as auditors for annual audit
Research state business and regulatory agency websites for requirements, procedures, and to verify information
Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer

Required

Experience preparing and maintain necessary hospital licensure and business records
Minimum five years of legal assistant or paralegal experience in a legal or regulatory department of a healthcare organization
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated high-level organizational skills, detail-oriented with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and to take initiative to resolve issues
Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammatical and mathematical skills
Strong focus on business writing practices and must be able proofread and produce accurate, professional documents and information
Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings and conferences
High degree of professionalism and interpersonal skills
Participate and project a positive and professional image of the organization
Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and develop proactive planning for the upcoming week
Advanced computer literacy is a must with extensive knowledge of in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Power Point)
Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
