Water Quality Specialist Supervisor
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated individual for the Water Quality Specialist Supervisor position. This role involves overseeing water quality specialists, managing inspections, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities
Oversee the activities and workload of more than four Water Quality Specialists and one Soils Scientist across the 15 counties served by the regional office
Manage inspections of NPDES-permitted facilities, such as sewage treatment plants, industrial wastewater treatment sites, and stormwater industrial facilities, along with any additional facilities as assigned
Ensure timely and comprehensive investigations of pollution incidents that could impact public health or water quality
Provide written or verbal follow-ups on investigations and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant permits, laws, and regulations
Refer matters for legal action in cases where voluntary compliance is not achieved or environmental damage has occurred
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience as a Water Quality Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which affords the applicant the required knowledges and abilities
You must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
