Responsibilities

You will communicate the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values and incorporate these into the team's goals, objectives, work products and services
You will communicate assignments/projects, milestones, deadlines and timeframes for completion
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration
You will coach team in selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and provides advice on work methods, procedures, etc
You will distribute and balance workload among employees considering skill level or specialization, timeframes for completion, and priorities

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
This is a Financial Management Level 3 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band or (GS-12/13) grade level or in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Master concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of budgeting and/or financing and their relation to subordinate and senior levels
Developing, recommending and implementing budgetary/financial policies
Interpreting, assessing and projecting potential impact of new/revised Congressional legislation
Analyzing, reviewing, and interpreting financial execution data and resolving variances
Communicating clearly both orally and in writing for the purpose of providing information and guidance to management or customers at all levels
