Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing production sales and repair orders while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming and outgoing orders, visually inspect parts and documentation against purchase, repair, and sales order/customer purchase order requirements
Ensure parts received match expected system PO & RO requirements. Correctly enter all information into our computer system
Inspect material for correct part number, serial numbers, nomenclature, condition, quantity, airworthiness documentation, and source docs
Ensure all sales and repair orders are processed in accordance with company ISO procedures, Federal Export Regulatory Compliance, or Hazardous Material Federal Regulatory Compliance requirements as required. This includes proper packaging, labeling, supporting documentation (Export License) transportation and required Government Regulatory Compliance system filings
Ensure all parts are packaged properly following commercial packing (ATA Spec 300) to avoid damage during shipment
Review all documentation for accuracy, IT transfer part from receiving location to stock location, perform invoicing function and optically image shipping related documents and photographs
Determine proper carriers for use when not identified; and schedule pickups as required
Load transportation carriers as required
Provides customer service to internal and external customers for shipping related issues
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area using safety standards and expectations while adhering to all quality practices

Required

High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 2-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of aviation inventory or related operations experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions
Ability to deal with and solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Must be able to read and interpret detailed blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Must have prior forklift experience
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Must have an understanding of packing, labeling and shipping standards
Must have experience using an ERP, with Quantum and Pentagon software a plus
Must be able to stand 6 to 8 hours a day
Must be able to work with their hands, arms and be extremely accurate
Must be able to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on a regular basis
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Must be able to lift and/or move in excess of 25 pounds with assistance

Preferred

Forklift certification desired
