Technical PM-Central/Distributed Systems
DTI (Diversified Technology Inc.) is an IT Consulting/Staffing firm focused on providing delivery, staffing, and supported services. The Technical Project Manager will provide technical project management services for centralized and distributed infrastructure environments, leading initiatives like infrastructure modernization and platform upgrades while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Responsibilities
Participate in scope definition, technical solution design, budget estimation, and resource planning
Develop and manage detailed project timelines, accounting for technical complexity, dependencies, and critical path activities
Prepare Project Definition documents, project reports, and participate in Project Committees and steering meetings
Monitor and control all project tasks, milestones, and deliverables
Manage project budgets and report on budget variances
Support project tracking, task updates, and progress reporting using Clarity PPM (or equivalent PMO tools)
Lead project close-out activities, including post-implementation reviews, success metrics, and lessons learned
Provide technical expertise to support infrastructure architecture planning, ensuring plans and budgets reflect the transition from current to target state
Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams on platform upgrade and refresh initiatives
Perform technical assessments and option analyses across infrastructure platforms
Contribute to and align technical solution implementations with the client's enterprise technical strategy
Ensure adherence to Architecture standards, PMO methodology, and governance frameworks
Provide oversight, guidance, and coordination across the following technology domains: SAP Platforms, Wintel Environment, UNIX & Linux, Storage & Backup, Databases, Automation & Configuration Management, Enterprise Applications & Middleware, Monitoring & Security
Lead and support enterprise data center engineering initiatives, including: Power systems and redundancy planning, Physical and logical infrastructure design, Enterprise-scale data center migrations
Supervise hardware and software installation activities as required
Provide expert guidance during deployment and migration phases
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
Prepare and maintain quality plans
Identify, develop, and initiate innovative technical solutions where standards or precedents may not exist
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical and project documentation
Support development of project management procedures and best practices
Identify training needs and contribute to training plan development
Qualification
Required
Proven experience managing complex infrastructure and data center projects
Strong technical background across enterprise server, storage, operating systems, databases, and middleware
Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into executable project plans
Experience working with cross-functional, geographically distributed teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage local and global senior leadership
Experience operating within formal PMO and architecture governance frameworks
Preferred
Experience supporting large enterprise or regulated environments
Prior involvement in platform refresh, infrastructure modernization, or data center migration initiatives
Familiarity with Clarity PPM or similar enterprise project management tools
Strong documentation and executive reporting skills
