Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Lead the Safety Committee to conduct risk assessments and oversee hazard mitigation efforts
Implement and monitor safety training as needed
Maintain good contractor relationships to help take care of facility issues the maintenance team can't do internally
Ensure all systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are operational and well-maintained
Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
Monitor key maintenance metrics (downtime, response times, and asset longevity)
Manage contractors and in-house maintenance staff
Qualification
Required
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at any given time, and comfortable standing, walking, and being on your feet for any length of time
Ability to lead teams and manage cross-departmental coordination
Proactively identify and resolve operational, environmental, and safety challenges
Effectively communicate with senior management, staff, and external stakeholders
Thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local compliance regulations
Ability to utilize LMS software to get employees through necessary trainings
Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills
Treats internal 'customers' with respect and professionalism. Delegates work effectively to the Maintenance team to get projects completed quickly and efficiently
5-10 Years experience in facilities, maintenance, and safety management required
Preferred
Enjoys data and finding patterns and information to drive better decision making
Enjoys problem solving and developing unique solutions
Willing to take ownership for activities and drive activities to completion
Ability to work virtually with locations in different parts of the country and/or world
