Facility Engineer I
AHMC HealthCare is seeking a Facility Engineer I to support the maintenance and operational needs of the AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center. Responsibilities
Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner
Provide a safe and sanitary environment for patients, family, staff, and self
Perform basic plumbing, electrical repair, steam fitting and general maintenance
Service equipment by lubricating, cleaning, replacing parts, and making minor adjustments
Perform building maintenance requiring basic carpentry, electrical, painting, plastering or HVAC
Operate, maintain and assist in repairing boilers, refrigeration units, air conditioning units, ice machines electronic and pneumatic controls
Understand and able to safely operate and repair all central plant equipment, including, but not limited to boilers, chillers, pumps, compressors
Perform electrical installation and maintenance
Understand the operation of electrical motors, controllers and related electrical equipment
Wire up and install standard 110 and 220 volt outlets
Understand refrigeration system and chilled water systems
Test run emergency generators and understand the operation of transfer switch
Perform plumbing installation and maintenance
Install and maintain hospital equipment (i.e. bulletin boards, file holders, pictures)
Understand and able to perform preventive maintenance of all equipment as assigned
Patch penetrations in walls, fire walls and paint

Must have minimum of two year's experience in construction, carpentry, plumbing, painting, or HVAC
Must have demonstrated experience, proficiency, and expertise in one or more of the above areas
Working knowledge in various mechanical hand held tools required in the performance of the trade
Working knowledge of power equipment, drills, saws, pneumatic tools, compressor, airless sprays
Working knowledge of pumps and pumping system
Working knowledge of scaffolding and ladders
Working knowledge of trucks and forklifts
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate effectively
Preferred
Previous experience within the healthcare industry
Basic computer skills
Ability to interact effectively with patients, customers and associates in a way that exhibits superior integrated customer service and teamwork
Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy while directing co-workers
Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
Excellent organization and problem solving skills
Ability to work within defined time constraints

Bilingual in Spanish a plus
