The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking a highly motivated intern to assist in change management, communications, and data management within their Corporate Services and Facilities Department. The intern will gain hands-on experience in organizational change and strategic communications while supporting key initiatives and developing essential skills.

Responsibilities

Contribute to stakeholder analyses, impact assessments, and readiness tracking for CSFIR projects; synthesize findings into short, actionable briefs
Draft and maintain simple change plans for pilot/soft‑launch and broader rollouts; support success‑metric definition and after‑action reviews
Prepare training and reinforcement materials and coordinate logistics with project teams
Participate in the development and rollout of a change management strategy for transition of service provider and vendor partners
Support IR’s quarterly communications calendar—collect inputs from CSFIR sections, draft blurbs, and route content to focal points in the CSF Communications Council
Develop clear, audience‑specific messages for CSFIR activities
Set up lightweight feedback loops, consolidate responses, and translate insights into recommendations for engagement or training
Assist with the inventory and documentation of CSF/departmental data governance artifacts; help validate entries for completeness and consistent taxonomy
Create or update concise dataset 'records' to improve discoverability in the catalog, coordinate with owners for accuracy
Support process documentation for data platforms and usability checks tied to ongoing information platform transitions
Change campaigns: create stakeholder/impact brief, develop change plan, determine success measures and performance for a CSFIR initiative
Communications strategy: develop plan with key channels and stakeholders identified; engagement results with recommended follow‑ups
Data maintenance: update and catalog key data sources and make recommendations for future use and application

Required

Be enrolled in a Master's degree program in a relevant field, such as information technology (computer science, information systems management), data science, business administration or a related field of study
Be in student status at the time of the internship. Only those students who will return to school upon completion of their internship assignments would be considered
Be in good academic standing
Have an excellent command of English (both written and oral)
Show an interest in, and aptitude for working in a multicultural environment
