Responsibilities

Responsibilities involve Settlement Activities on the Debt Markets (The US Federal Reserve (FED), DTC), ensuring that all activities and exceptions are handled as per the market deadline and KPI benchmark standards. Escalations are done appropriately, as required by the process
Responsible for the supervision and oversight of a team Performance, Risk Indicators and Service level agreements
Liaising with Domestic Agents, Middle offices, Traders, Counterparties, US, Frankfurt, London and other internal counterparts via mail and phone to ensure smooth settlements
Monitor volume inflow and ensure sufficient resource and workflow allocation in a justifiable manner
Ensure that all queries/first level escalations related to routine activities are responded to within the time frames pre-specified and to keep Team Manager informed of the exceptional occurrences, to enable appropriate action
Ensure that Desktop procedures are updated regularly to reflect current process flows

Required

Good client relationship management skills – understanding the importance of good client service, both external and internal
Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines, in an increasingly regulated environment
Reviewing workflows and operating procedures to ensure that they remain up to date and implementing process improvements
Ensure adequate back-ups created for all critical positions and assist other teams during contingencies (Staff shortage, high volumes etc)
Continuously evaluate existing processes, challenging current procedures, and suggesting enhancement as appropriate to improve the efficiency and STP rate
A strong team player
Excellent oral and written communication skills would be required to interact with both business and technical stakeholders
Detailed oriented, adaptable to changes in the work environment while maintaining strong teamwork and project ownership
Solid knowledge of MS office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred

Knowledge of Broadridge based applications is preferred- Impact, ADP
