INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION MANAGER (DEPUTY DIRECTOR)

Air Force Civilian Service is seeking an Industrial Production Manager (Deputy Director) to work at the Air Force Materiel Command in Ogden, UT. The role involves exercising supervisory and managerial authorities, directing work activities, and providing leadership for assigned personnel to ensure the production of quality products for the Warfighter.

Responsibilities

Exercise 2nd level (or higher) supervisory and managerial authorities as the Deputy Director within 309 CMXG
Direct work activities through subordinate supervisors/leads with responsibility for providing advice, accountability, and expertise to higher management and/or senior leadership on a continuous basis
Exercise control over the organizational element by providing direction, planning, and leadership for assigned subordinate personnel

U.S. Citizenship
Obtain & maintain Security clearance
This may be a designated Drug Testing Position
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)
Only open to current federal civilian employees within Department of War
Current SF-50 required
The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include, overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts
The employee may be required to work during base exercises, contingencies or emergency situations
The employee may occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial Locations for both training and mission accomplishment
Mastery knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support
Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a medium-to-large organization
Extensive knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures
Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of team building, developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and leading members as a cooperative team
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization
