Supervisory Operations Research Analyst
Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Supervisory Operations Research Analyst to work at Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex, Robins Air Force Base. The role involves supervising employees within the Cost and Economics Division, preparing cost estimates, and conducting business case analyses to support decision-making for the management of weapon systems.

Responsibilities
Exercise 1st level supervisory and position management responsibilities over subordinate employees within the Cost and Economics Division
Direct work activities through subordinates leads with responsibility for maintaining a current knowledge and guiding subordinate employees to provide advice, accountability, and expertise on a continuous basis
Prepare program office estimates, life cycle cost estimates and independent cost estimates for program managers and higher headquarters in support of resource decisions for management of weapon systems for the AFSC and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center
Accomplish business case analysis that provides viable strategic business solutions to decision makers in support of acquisition and sustainment initiatives
Prepare the Economic Impact Assessment detailing the economic impact of Tinker, Robins or Hill AFB on the 'State' and its local metropolitan economies
Provide program policy and procedures guidance and consolidate input for OL Directors and other FM senior leaders to answer SAF/FM, AFMC/FM, AFSC/CC inquiries, when required
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship
Employee must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance as a condition of employment
Degree in operations research or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics
At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus
Analyzing management problems and providing advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions to these problems
Competence in the rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis
Knowledge of commonly used financial management and cost analysis methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes applicable to all phases of an acquisition program from initial development through sustainment and disposal
Knowledge of Programming, Planning and Budgeting System policies, procedures and required documentation
Knowledge of personnel safety, security and management, EEO regulations, procedures and practices, and Merit System principles and intent
