Media Relations Intern

Responsibilities
Project Coordination: Assists management and other staff in completion of various projects and long term assignments
Information Gathering: Provides assistance to staff by gathering pertinent information to complete a project or task assigned. Information is gathered from internal and external sources such as the Internet. Responsible for compiling information gathered into a presentation format
Provides other assistance and completes assignments specific to department as directed by management
Qualification
Required
High School or GED (Required)
Junior or senior-level college student pursuing a degree in journalism or communications. Graduate level or postgraduate level applicants will not be considered
Strong organizational skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to multitask and work independently as well as part of a team
Professional and flexible self-starter and self-motivator, as this will be a hybrid position working both from home and in the office
Some travel may be required, so reliable access to a vehicle is mandatory
Preferred
Previous internship experience is preferred, but not required
Familiarity with AP style
Familiarity with videography and editing a plus
