JEC Grant Analyst
Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through various economic mobility programs. The JEC Grant Analyst will oversee financial operations within the Job & Education Center, managing budgets and expenditures, producing financial reports, and collaborating with JEC managers to ensure financial performance.

Meeting regularly with JEC managers to review financial performance
Developing comprehensive knowledge of JEC grants
Analyzing receivables to ensure timely payment of invoices
Assisting in general accounting operations as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business with 5-7 years relevant business and accounting experience
Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze financial processes and systems
Experience with accounting software such as Abila MIP and other accounting software desired as well as a working knowledge of Excel
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with WCAC staff and external agencies
Knowledge of government grant/contract compliance requirements
Preferred
Knowledge of foundation and private grant procedures and requirements preferred
Understanding of Accounts Receivable and other accounting operations preferred
Ability to train and assist agency finance and program staff as needed in finance policy and procedures
