UI / UX Engineer 1
Keysight Technologies is seeking a versatile UI/UX Designer and Writer who brings together strong design skills, thoughtful UX research capabilities, and the ability to create clear, polished customer-facing documentation. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to shape intuitive, scalable user experiences across the Keysight Support Portal and related products.

Responsibilities
Develop accurate, concise, and user-friendly UI documentation to support new and existing product features
Create annotated screens, workflow explanations, release notes, and feature guides that clearly communicate functionality
Produce customer-facing help videos, including scripting, structuring content, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and visual quality
Work with Support, Product, and Enablement teams to maintain alignment and ensure documentation reflects the latest product updates
Ensure all documentation and video content meet accessibility, ADA, and readability standards for a wide range of users
Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma
Contribute to and maintain the Keysight design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and adherence to brand standards
Collaborate with engineering teams to support accurate design implementation and develop robust handoff documentation
Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards, including WCAG and ADA compliance, with attention to color contrast, keyboard navigation, semantic structure, and inclusive UX principles
Plan, conduct, and synthesize user interviews, usability tests, surveys, and heuristic evaluations
Translate qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable insights that inform product strategy and design decisions
Partner with product managers to validate concepts, define success metrics, and measure user experience outcomes
Present research insights to stakeholders in a clear and structured format
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Technical Communication, or a related discipline; equivalent real-world experience will be considered
Ability to use AI tools to accelerate documentation writing, content structuring, and video production workflows
Experience writing clear, concise customer-facing UI documentation, including feature guides, release notes, and workflow explanations
Ability to create structured, easy-to-understand help content that supports users across different experience levels
Familiarity with accessibility and readability standards for public-facing documentation
Experience producing short-form customer help videos, including scripting, screen recording, editing, and visual annotation
Ability to translate complex product interactions into straightforward, engaging instructional video content
Knowledge of basic video editing tools (e.g., Camtasia, Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)
Proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, and prototyping
Strong foundation in typography, visual hierarchy, layout systems, and responsive design
Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system in a scalable environment
Demonstrated ability to solve complex design problems with a user-centered approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hands-on experience with UX research methods, facilitation, and synthesis
Ability to create high-quality, customer-facing UI documentation and instructional content
Working knowledge of ADA and WCAG accessibility standards
Experience working in Agile/Scrum product development environments
Preferred
Ability to use AI tools to accelerate documentation writing, content structuring, and video production workflows
Familiarity with AI-driven tools for script generation, image refinement, voiceovers, or editing assistance
Comfortable adopting new AI technologies to improve efficiency and content quality
Familiarity with user analytics tools (e.g., Hotjar, Amplitude, Google Analytics)
Understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML/CSS
Experience with interaction design or motion prototyping
Experience supporting multiple product areas or complex enterprise workflows
Experience with video editing or production tools is a plus
