Vorteq Coil Finishers is looking for quality candidates to work on their Coil Coating line. The role involves maintaining inventory, preparing raw materials for production, and ensuring safety and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare raw materials for production runs, verify customer order requirements to material and production schedule
Work as a team to complete production set ups to ensure an efficient changeover from job to job
Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process
Visually inspect raw & finished coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.)
Package coils according to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.)
Ensure materials are properly and safely stacked while transporting and when placed in warehouse
Keep a work area that is clean and safe through the removal of production scrap and packaging scrap by disposing of waste timely in proper receptacles
Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines

Qualification

Forklift experienceMathematical skillsData entryReadingTeamwork

Required

Proficient in reading and writing
Mathematical skills and ability to understand basic measurements
Comfort level with a calculator and computer for occasional data entry and/or data lookup
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
Must have a VALID drivers license and RELIABLE transportation
MUST have at least 2 years of forklift experience
