Responsibilities

Support program-level delivery of municipal water and/or wastewater capital and small projects
Independently manage one or more moderately complex projects from planning through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management
Coordinate and oversee all phases of assigned projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and within scope
Provide owner-side project management support, including project controls, scheduling, cost tracking, estimating, procurement coordination, and change management
Direct and coordinate the efforts of AECOM technical staff, subconsultants, and other support resources
Interface directly with OC San project managers, engineers, operations staff, and leadership
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; proactively resolve issues to minimize impacts to cost, schedule, and quality
Review and provide quality control oversight of design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables
Prepare project-related documentation, including correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, schedules, and status updates
Support coordination with contractors during construction, including RFIs, submittals, and issue resolution
May provide guidance and oversight to mid- and junior-level engineers or project managers supporting assigned projects
Collaborate with AECOM regional teams as needed to support OC San program objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or related engineering field and 6 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and design, including project analysis, feasibility, and budgeting required or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
Registration as a Professional Engineer
Valid Driver's License and must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review

Preferred

Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Registration as a Professional Engineer in California, or able to obtain same in six months after hiring
Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
Proactive on assignments and demonstrate initiative
Must work independently with minimal supervision, and complete multiple technical tasks under tight deadlines
Proficient with CAD and design software (Civil 3D, Bentley Design Suites, Water CAD, Sewer CAD, ARC GIS, etc)
