Student Intern - Communications
CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Student Intern to provide administrative support in their Communications department. The role offers college students a meaningful educational experience through various projects and networking opportunities with leaders and associates.

Responsibilities
Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self
Provides administrative support for the System Communications leaders and staff, including assisting on writing social media posts, gathering content and helping to coordinate various projects
Supports development of communications materials and projects by driving operational excellence, including process oversight, adherence to deadlines and ensuring proper approvals prior to deployment
Assists in scheduling, organizing and coordinating departmental and organization-wide meetings
Prepares materials and makes arrangements as needed for meetings and conferences
Handles confidential calls and correspondence as necessary for Communications staff
Maintains access to various email, news and social subscriptions and media lists, and monitors responses, directing them to the appropriate party when needed
Assists in the facilitation of Associate activities, promoting a culture of an engaged workplace
Proofreads materials, ensuring accuracy according to established brand and written style guidelines
Qualification
Required
At least 2 years of college preparation towards major
Currently enrolled in a College degree program in one of the following degree programs: Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing
PC and Microsoft Office Skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others
Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and solid organizational skills
Needs to be resourceful, innovative and persuasive with ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
