Temporary Legal Assistant
Aldridge Pite, LLP is a multi-state law firm that focuses on utilizing technology to enhance workflow synergies with its clients. The Temporary Legal Assistant provides a range of legal support to attorneys involved in representing financial institutions in various legal matters, particularly in bankruptcy and foreclosure cases.

Responsibilities
Assisting attorneys in the representation of clients in judicial foreclosure proceedings including, but not limited to, the following duties:
Process the complaint work load of the assigned states according to Aldridge Pite procedures, internal goals and client/insurer/investor requirements
Draft legal documents including pleadings, briefs, motions and agreements
Electronically file pleadings within strict deadlines and manage/organize high volume incoming electronically filed pleadings
Prepare correspondence
Proof legal forms and documents for accuracy
Organize and track case files
Provide timely responses/updates to clients
Communicate with courts, title vendors and other third parties
Monitor and handle complaint related tasks for the judicial foreclosure caseload assigned
Ensure that billing is completed in a timely manner at all billable events and milestones
Handle other projects or tasks assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
At least 2 years' experience working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
Thorough knowledge of legal principles, legal research techniques and legal terminology
In depth knowledge of government regulations
Relevant computer knowledge and experience
Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
Excellent planning and organizing skills, attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent research, analytical, critical thinking skills
Must possess excellent ability to communicate with all clients, vendors, internal departments (via client systems, email, and phone)
Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
Overall positive attitude and willingness to adapt to change
Must possess good organizational skills
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
Must be a team player and willing to help others in Judicial foreclosure Department whenever necessary
Must be effective in conflict, stress, and performance management
Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance
Takes initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs to be done and takes action
Demonstrates commitment to Firm's vision, mission, and core values
Processes work in compliance with Client requirements as well as SOPs and Operations Matrices

Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Judicial foreclosure experience highly preferred
Paralegal certificate a plus but not required
Prefer knowledge of multi-state process of service in a judicial environment
