Responsibilities

Requires detailed knowledge of cyber security systems, networks, and applications as well as other qualifications below:
Industry Certifications (preferred, Not Required)
Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
GIAC Security Engineer (GSE) or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
Technical Competencies
Experience managing or integrating with Palo Alto Panorama for centralized firewall management
Familiarity with next-generation firewalls, intrusion prevention, and threat intelligence platforms
Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Ansible) for security operations or configuration management
Knowledge of Zero Trust network architecture principles
Exposure to endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Carbon Black
Industry And Regulatory Experience
Experience in healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated industries
Understanding of compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communicator able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Collaborative mindset, comfortable working in cross-functional IT and compliance teams
