Sr. HR Business Partner - Finance & Credit - Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

Nordstrom is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join their Corporate Functions HR team, focusing on the Finance and Credit organizations. This role involves coaching and consulting with leaders to enhance employee engagement, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Work across all levels of the organization, serve as a trusted partner to leadership, and operate proactively to bring Corporate HR priorities to life
Partner with business leaders to identify and implement solutions that address key business priorities
Shape, support, and execute the people plan to accelerate business performance
Use external and internal insights, data, and trends to identify and help solve key people and business issues
Lead talent management activities and workforce planning to ensure a strong pipeline of talent for the organization
Guide labor budget planning and execution in close partnership with business leaders, Finance, and key cross‑functional partners
Partner with COEs to implement HR programs and practices in a fast paced, complex, and matrixed business environment
Deliver leadership coaching and guide team effectiveness efforts to accelerate organizational performance
Support change management and employee engagement efforts
Serve as a strategic thought partner to business leaders on organizational design and capability building
Build strong, trust‑based relationships with business leaders across the organization

Required

7+ years directly applicable HR experience – partnering with business leaders to drive strategic and effective people outcomes
Strong business and HR acumen with ability to consult effectively and influence at all organizational levels
Experience successfully leading change management efforts for organizations undergoing large scale transformation
Track record of successfully leading and delivering large, complex programs across multiple teams/organizations
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with an ability to apply quantitative analysis to HR outcomes and use data to influence and drive decisions
Experience partnering with business leaders to develop and implement effective organizational designs
Ability to partner across multiple teams within HR to deliver effective solutions
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Demonstrates curiosity and openness to AI‑enabled tools, proactively identifying opportunities where technology can enhance HR efficiency, decision‑making, and business results

Preferred

Experience in both an HR business partner role and specialist area preferred
