Responsibilities
Provide technical support for materials and processes related to cast and/or forged aerospace components
Support design and manufacture of aluminum, steel, titanium, and nickel-based alloys
Collaborate with design, quality, supplier development, and integrated supply chain teams
Act as a technical point of contact for junior engineers
Work directly with suppliers to troubleshoot material and process issues
Support supplier development, audits, and performance improvement initiatives
Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Participate in product development activities across the full lifecycle
Apply Six Sigma, Lean, and continuous improvement methodologies
Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
4+ years of experience in materials/process engineering within casting and/or forging environments
4+ years of experience with aerospace alloys (aluminum, steel, titanium, nickel)
Experience supporting aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments
Location: Tempe, AZ 85284 (Required)

Work Location: In person
Preferred
Degree specialization in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Advanced engineering degree (preferred)
Hands-on experience with casting and/or forging processes (ingot, billet, powder production)
Familiarity with Nadcap and aerospace material standards
Experience conducting supplier audits (investment casting, sand casting, forging, billet, powder)
Experience working with and developing suppliers
Strong troubleshooting skills for material and process issues
Experience with casting/forging simulation tools (e.g., DEFORM)
Background in Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement tools
