Project Engineer

PREMIER Design + Build Group is seeking a Project Engineer to assist project managers in managing client construction projects. The role involves responsibilities such as RFI and submittal tracking, document control, scheduling, and client interaction.

Responsibilities

Assists with project administration by way of RFI and submittal tracking, permit status tracking, contract document maintenance, critical path schedule development and maintenance, meeting documentation, bid solicitation, proposal qualification, and project changes tracking
Assists with problem solving, coordination with consultants and subcontractors and field communications
Represents company professionally in project meetings and attends strategy meetings
Interprets and explains plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients as needed
Formulates reports concerning such areas as work progress, scheduling and permitting
Works with superintendent as necessary to assist with planning, organizing and directing activities onsite
Compiles as-built and close out documents, develops and tracks completion of punch lists and addresses warranty claims post-completion
Actively participates in team activities that promote a sense of “esprit de corps” amongst team members
Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates taking full ownership of their projects
