Responsibilities
Supervise production associates and provide training on wire processing (wire layout, taping, crimping)
Manage performance and ensure accurate timekeeping for individual timecards and job completion
Ensure 100% compliance with product specifications, including IPC standards
Complete final inspections to minimize defects and waste
Monitor and reduce process bottlenecks
Identify opportunities to improve wire harness build efficiency
Enforce OSHA regulations, safety policies, and proper equipment usage
Support onboarding and ongoing training (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
Oversee wire cutting, stripping, and crimping equipment
Coordinate with maintenance for equipment repairs
Monitor and act on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Maintain accurate production records in computer systems
Ensure the team has clear instructions and necessary resources
Promote customer satisfaction through clear and respectful communication
Communicate and reinforce the Vision, Mission, and Values of Value Added Companies
Partner with the Branch Manager to conduct timely and respectful performance discussions
Collaborate with fellow leaders to ensure business goals are achieved
Additional duties may be assigned based on company, customer, and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Ability to use various production and assembly equipment
Willingness to learn and follow standard practices
Ability to read and follow work instructions and documentation
Ability to safely lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs using proper techniques
Basic math skills (addition and subtraction) and tape measure use
Basic computer proficiency
Sufficient English language skills to understand instructions, perform essential functions, and communicate effectively
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of supervisory experience
Preferred
Knowledge of wire harness components and assembly processes
Technical degree or relevant certification
Prior industrial manufacturing experience
Prior wire harness or cable assembly experience
Experience with Epicor and Kinetics
OSHA 10-hour certification
First Aid, CPR, and BBP certifications
