Basin Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a Student Intern to assist their Geographic Information Systems (GIS), land surveying, and civil engineering staff. The intern will support various engineering services and activities while gaining practical experience in their field of study.

Responsibilities

Assist department staff with assigned tasks, projects, or data entry aligned with field of study
Conduct research, analysis, or field support under supervision
Attend and participate in team meetings or training opportunities
Maintain accurate records, documentation, or logs
Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Be at least 18 years of age
Be enrolled as a full-time student in a two year GIS, Land Surveying, or Engineering Technology program with at least two semesters completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months). OR
Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four year GIS, Land Surveying, or Engineering Technology program with at least two years completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months)
Hold a valid driver's license
Transcript at the time of application
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Research and analytical thinking
Written and verbal communication

Data entry and recordkeeping
