Responsibilities
Conducts inspections and determines compliance with public health rules and regulations governing public swimming pools
Inspects assigned swimming pools and performs accurate collection and testing of pool water samples
Initiates enforcement action when warranted
Communicates inspection results to pool operators, coworkers, and supervisors
Enters inspection results into the Environmental Health database (DHD) in a timely manner
Maintains an accurate daily activity report and vehicle mileage log
Maintains a sufficient working supply of pool water testing reagents and inspection report forms
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver's license
Reliable and insured vehicle for transportation to/from inspections (will be reimbursed for mileage)
Preferred
Public Health, Environmental Health, or science (Biology, Chemistry, e.g.) degree programs
Graduate students, recent graduates, or upperclassman preferred
