Responsibilities

Support the installation, splicing, and testing of fiber optic infrastructure in data center and telecom environments

Execute high-quality, standards-compliant work by following project documentation, drawings, and supervisor direction

Qualification

Fiber optic installationFusion splicingFiber testingFOA CertificationBICSI TechnicianOSHA 30Safety-focused mindsetRead drawingsAttention to detail

Required

Hands-on experience installing, splicing, and testing single-mode and multimode fiber in data center or telecom environments

Proficiency with fusion splicers, fiber preparation tools, and basic fiber test equipment

Ability to read and follow network drawings, splice diagrams, and rack elevations

Strong attention to detail with cable routing, labeling, documentation, and quality control

Safety-focused mindset with working knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and low-voltage standards

OSHA 30 (OSHA 10 minimum)

Preferred

FOA Certification (CFOT and/or CFOS preferred)

BICSI Technician or higher (RCDD a plus)

Manufacturer training (e.g., Corning, Fujikura) preferred
