Responsibilities

Take ownership of the thermal test lab, from organization and safety to hardware procurement and management
Design, build, and configure novel test setups to accurately evaluate the performance of our thermal components under a variety of conditions
Conduct thermal and fluidic testing on components such as cold plates and other high-performance thermal solutions
Analyze and interpret test data, providing actionable insights to our design and manufacturing teams to drive product improvements
Research and propose new testing methodologies and equipment to enhance our testing capabilities and efficiency
Present your findings and project proposals to leadership to secure resources for your innovative ideas
Collaborate with our engineering team on the design of customer parts, with the potential to grow into an Applications Engineer role

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
A strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
Demonstrated experience in designing and building test fixtures and setups
Proficiency with data acquisition systems (DAQ) and sensor technology (thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, etc.)
Experience with Python, or another programming language, with a preference for work done on automation and controls
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred

Experience with thermal simulation software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation, Ansys Icepak, Flotherm)
Familiarity with Keysight data acquisition software
Experience in a fast-paced startup environment
