Responsibilities
Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions
Learns and follows McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures
Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently
Manages own workload to deliver assigned tasks on time and in budget
Identifies training, coaching, and support needed to complete assigned tasks
Develops familiarity in mechanical systems design, including calculations, airside systems, piping systems, equipment selection and multi-discipline coordination
Performs engineering calculations, design, analysis, reporting, and drafting tasks
Produces design drawings and building information models for construction
Pursues an understanding of the technical foundation of design activities and decisions
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Internship or one (1) year experience in related field
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline required or equivalent work experience required. Onsite construction experience considered and welcome
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
Preferred
Knowledge of Revit preferred. Knowledge of other CAD/BIM tools welcome
Engineering in Training Certificate preferred
Familiarity with MATLAB, VBA, Python, InDesign, IES-VE, and/or other software tools welcome
